Home / Blog / iPhone Grade A B C Explained
Every used iPhone on Inexa Nepal is assigned a grade — A, B, or C — based on physical condition and battery health. Here's exactly what each grade means, so you know what you're buying before you pay.
Quick Answer
Grade A = like new (85%+ battery, no visible wear). Grade B = light use (80%+ battery, minor scuffs) — best value for most buyers. Grade C = visible wear (75%+ battery) — cheapest option. All grades are IMEI verified and fully functional.
Grade A — Like New
Highest price tier
Grade B — Good Condition
Mid-range price tier
Grade C — Fair Condition
Lowest price tier
For most buyers: Grade B.The price gap between Grade A and Grade B is usually NPR 5,000–15,000 depending on the model. That's a meaningful saving, and the performance is identical — same processor, same camera, same software. The only difference is minor cosmetic wear you'll barely notice once the phone is in a case.
Choose Grade A if:you're buying it as a gift, you care about the unboxing feel, or you plan to resell it later (Grade A holds resale value better).
Choose Grade C if:you need the lowest possible price, you're buying a secondary or backup device, or you use a thick case and don't care about cosmetics.
Battery health degrades with each charge cycle. Apple considers a battery "degraded" below 80%. Here's what you can expect at each Inexa grade threshold:
Grade A
Full-day battery life easily. Feels like a new phone.
Grade B
Good battery life. Most users can go a full day on a charge.
Grade C
Noticeable degradation. Heavy users may need a mid-day top-up.
Every iPhone on Inexa Nepal goes through an 8-point inspection before a grade is assigned. Here's what we check:
Screen
Inspected under bright light for scratches, dead pixels, and touch sensitivity.
Battery Health
Measured via Apple diagnostics and recorded on every listing.
IMEI Status
Verified clean — not blacklisted, not reported stolen, not network locked.
Cameras
Front and rear cameras tested for focus, photo quality, and video recording.
Speakers & Mic
Earpiece, loudspeaker, and microphone all tested for clarity.
Charging Port
Wired charging and data transfer verified.
Face ID / Touch ID
Biometric authentication confirmed working.
SIM Tray & Connectivity
SIM detection, cellular signal, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth tested.
Does the grade affect iPhone performance?
No. Grade describes physical condition only. A Grade C iPhone 15 runs the same iOS, performs identically, and has the same cameras as a Grade A iPhone 15. The only differences are cosmetic wear and battery health percentage.
Can I see the actual battery health before buying?
Yes. The battery health percentage is listed on every Inexa Nepal product page. You can verify it yourself in Settings → Battery → Battery Health after receiving the device.
What if the grade does not match what I receive?
Inexa Nepal offers a 7-day return window on all purchases. If the device condition doesn't match the listed grade, return it for a full refund or exchange — no questions asked.
Is Grade C worth buying?
Grade C is worth buying if budget is the priority and cosmetics don't matter. The iPhone runs perfectly — you're just accepting visible wear on the body. Many Grade C buyers use a case anyway and never notice the difference.
